Browse SBA lenders and community lenders
An independent educational directory of lenders active in SBA and small-business lending. Use it to learn who does what, then consider contacting a few lenders and comparing what each one says. Nothing here is an application, an offer, or a lender decision.
Named local lenders currently cover the Sacramento and Fresno SBA districts, plus national lenders that serve borrowers in every state. Wherever your business is, you can also use SBA's official Lender Match to reach lenders for your county: SBA Lender Match (official)
What kinds of SBA lenders exist
Banks
Banks make most SBA 7(a) loans and many conventional business loans. Some run large national SBA desks; others are community banks that lend close to home. If your business already banks somewhere, consider starting the conversation there, then compare with an SBA-active bank.
CDCs (SBA 504)
Certified Development Companies are nonprofits certified by SBA to arrange 504 loans, which finance owner-occupied real estate and major equipment together with a partner bank. Consider contacting a CDC when your project is buying, building, or improving the place your business operates from.
Credit unions
Credit unions are member-owned, and some participate in SBA lending. They tend to be relationship-based, and membership rules apply — ask whether your business can join and whether they offer the loan program you want to discuss.
Microlenders and CDFIs
Nonprofit community lenders, including SBA microloan intermediaries, focus on smaller loans — SBA microloans go up to $50,000 — and often pair the loan with free or low-cost coaching. Consider contacting one when the request is small, the business is young, or credit history is thin.
Non-bank SBA lenders
Some licensed lending companies are not banks but focus heavily on SBA loans. They often work remotely, without branches. Consider contacting one to compare, especially if a request falls outside a traditional bank's usual box — and verify how the process and servicing would work.
Search by business location
Start with state or ZIP code so the directory stays useful as more SBA lenders are added nationwide. ZIP code gives the sharpest local match where this directory has local coverage.
Choose a state or enter a 5-digit ZIP code to see lender listings.
Lenders that don't publish a typical loan-size range stay listed for every amount — this directory can't rule them out, so ask them directly.

Run the free pre-screenListings are informational and unpaid. No lender pays to appear, no lender saw your information, and being listed is not an endorsement, referral, recommendation, or any statement about approval. Alphabetical order within each group is the only ordering used. Programs, contacts, and details change — verify everything directly with the lender and against current SBA guidance.
