Where the SBA program information comes from

The pre-screen and program explanations run on a deterministic rules engine — written rules with fixed public sources, not AI guesses. The rules are based on public SBA guidance: SOP 50 10, SBA program pages, federal regulations, and SBA procedural notices. Program limits and rules live in one place in the code, and every page draws from that single source, so a figure can never be right on one page and wrong on another.

This website does not use AI. Nothing you type is read, processed, or scored by artificial intelligence — every result comes from the deterministic rules engine and its cited public SBA sources. If we ever add an optional AI feature, this page and the privacy page will describe it before it appears.

How directory entries are verified

Every organization listed on this site — lenders to consider, free help networks, contracting resources, and local resources — is added only after checking the organization's own official website. Each entry carries a link to the source page we checked and the date we checked it. We never copy entries from third-party directories, and we never list an organization we could not verify; when in doubt, we link to the official locator instead.

What this site never shows

No interest rates, monthly payments, fees, or approval odds — those depend on each lender and each borrower, and quoting them would be guessing. No rankings, no best-lender lists, no paid placement. Missing documents are treated as next steps, never as disqualifications.

If you find anything outdated or wrong, tell us through the Help & feedback link in the footer. We check reports against the official sources, fix confirmed errors, and update the review dates on this page.

The honest limits

SBA rules and lender policies change, sometimes faster than any review cycle. This site is an educational starting point — always verify against current SBA rules, forms, and each lender's own policies before making decisions.
